Anneymar Bichon Frise
I have been connected to dogs all my life, I bought my first pedigree dog at the age of 20, Lottie who was a Golden Retriever and she introduced me to the show ring, I owned and showed Goldens for 10 years or more having good success in the show ring at Open and Championship level the highlight of my Golden Retriever days was my darling Mary – Ankera Quite Contrary at Anneymar winning the Bitch Challenge Certificate (CC) and then taking Best of Breed at the world’s greatest dog show – Crufts !
My dogs are firstly and foremost my pets, companions and very best friends! They spend most of the day with me, sleep with me and go to work with me !
I show my dogs as a hobby at both championship and open shows where we have a good level of success, we are placed at most shows that we attend.
Over the years we have won top honours with all our Anneymar dogs to include Crufts qualification as well as group wins and placings – Anneymar Bichon Frise have also qualified, shown and won prizes at Crufts over the last 6 years.
I bought my first Bichon in 2015 – Daisy and my love for the show scene was reignited!
Daisy (Magstarai Caresed by the Sea at Anneymar) is my first Bichon Frise and is my foundation bitch, Daisy produced my first home bred litter of Anneymar Bichon Frise and we kept a little girl Purdy, (Anneymar Addicted to Love) we also own her father Teddy Baxter,(Magstarai Making Magic at Anneymar) we have 4 little white dogs of which 3 and ½ are Bichon Frise, Daisy, Teddy Baxter, Purdy and Molly ( Bichon x Mini Schnauzer)
I don’t class myself as a’ breeder’ but I do have the occasional litter to support my hobby and passion for the breed, as a rule I breed a litter of puppies when I want a puppy for myself and to support my hobby.
All my dogs are health tested to the Kennel Clubs criteria prior to being mated.
I study the pedigrees/bloodlines extensively to ensure I am enhancing and improving on the Anneymar breeding lines (pedigrees) and we produce puppies that are fit for purpose and maintain all the qualities of the breed standard that make the breed so appealing, black eyes, black nose, the right height, size and shape.
Our breeding strategy is worked out years in advance and in some cases before the dogs has even been born!
Carefully bred puppies are occasionally available, if you would like enquire about our Bichon Frise puppies call, txt or message us
I take the responsibility of breeding a litter of puppies very seriously and I check extensively that my puppy’s homes are right for both the puppy and the new owners.
I am able to judge both Golden Retrievers and Bichon Frise, I am also a committee member of the Southern Bichon Frise Breeders Association
My kennel name is Anneymar which I have held since 1991 – Anneymar is an anagram of my name, Maryanne.
